What are botanics?
Botanics are medicinal preparations or similar substances derived from a plant (or plants).

What are glycrites?
A glycerite is an herbal preparation that uses vegetable glycerin to extract the medicinal properties from an herb.

What are herbal supplements? Herbal supplements are dietary supplements made from the beneficial and active parts of herbs, plants or botanicals beneficial for good health.

What are adaptogens?
Adaptoptogens are a group of herbs that help the body adapt. For example, adapt to deal with stress.

What is an herbalist?
An herbalist is someone who grows, collects or specializes in the use of herbs, especially medicinal herbs.

What’s a natural extraction process?
A natural extraction process is the process of activating and retrieving the plants medicinal and beneficial properties without the use of chemicals to create the purest, most effective products possible.

What is NOLA?
NOLA is how us folks down here in New Orleans, Louisiana, lovingly refer to our hometown. It’s also the home of  NOLA Botanics, and our founder, herbalist and transformational alchemist Cindy Daigle for more than 50 years.

What is herbal medicine?
Herbal medicine is a medical system based on the use of plants or plant extracts that may be ingested or applied to the skin to prevent and treat diseases and ailments or to promote health and healing.

What are the side effects of herbal remedies?
When used properly, and if taken according to label directions, herbal preparations are generally free of harmful side effects and are non toxic, unless otherwise indicated.

Will herbal tinctures interfere with my medications or will my medications interfere with the effects of the remedies?
Please consult your physician before combining herbal remedies with prescription medications.

Where do you get your herbs and plants?
When we can, we source our herbs and plants locally and aim for organic and wild crafted. And, when we can’t, we source our herbs and plants from the best and purest sources possible.

How long does it take for your remedies to work?
Every body is different. Some of you may notice immediate improvement, but it typically takes a month or so of taking our remedies as directed, to work. Remember, your symptoms did not occur overnight it was a gradual process. Likewise, it may take a month or so for the body to detoxify and balance.

Can I take more than one formula at a time?
Yes. Many of our formulas work well together. For example, if you’re taking Blood Cleanse, you may want to add Lymph Formula and Kidney Bladder to support the process in the detoxification process.

I accidentally missed a dose, what should I do
Don’t worry. Just restart and follow directions. No need to double dose.

I accidentally took too many drops of my formula, what should I do?
Always take 1 dropper full. A dropperful is the amount of liquid that gets pulled into the tube when the rubber bulb is squeezed.

What is Vibrational Medicine?
Vibrational Medicine, or Energy Medicine works on the scientific principle that all matter vibrates at a precise frequency. When the human body is in dis-ease, it is vibrating at a lower frequency. By raising the frequency balance is restored. NOLA Botanic remedies are of a high frequency and restore balance to the physical, emotional and energetic bodies.
